Nora Maxine Ayres

Ayres, Nora Maxine, age 67, retired USD 259 Food Service Manager, passed away December 13, 2011. Visitation 1-8pm Tuesday, December 20, with family present 6-8pm; funeral service 10am Wednesday, December 21, both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita. Burial to follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley, KS. Nora was born in DeWitt, AR to Virgil Leroy Howe and Luretta Nora Howe on August 12th, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 29 years, Jimmy Kent Ayres; sisters, Lois Nadine Howe, Betty Louise Howe and Carol Ann Fuller; brother, Virgil Neal Howe. She is survived by her sons, Larry Kent (Deann) Ayres of Haysville, Michael Dean (Amy) Ayres of Wichita, Kevin Dale Ayres of Kechi and Danny Lee Ayres of the home; sister, Thelma Elaine (Larry) Harmon of Wichita; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; grand puppy, Wildcat Willie. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the non-profit organization that trained and provided her son’s service dog, KSDS, Inc., 124 W. 7th St. Washington, KS 66968.
