Nicholas Keith Cox

December 27, 1989 — July 6, 2022

Nicholas Keith Cox (Nick) was born on December 27, 1989 to Rick and Patti Cox (Williams) of Haysville KS. Nick was the youngest in the Cox Household and is survived by his older sister Kelli Cox (Boyle) and big brother Ryan Ayala. Nick graduated from Haysville High School and went on to study Aerospace Technologies at WATC. In 2012, Nick met Julie Nguyen of Wichita and together had two beautiful daughters Jade and Emi, now aged 5 and 3. On July 6, 2022 Nick passed away unexpectedly and forever broke the heart of this Writer and all that truly knew him.

From his early years, Nick developed a love for animals both large and small and would occasionally bring home strays because well, they needed saved. Nick also loved the outdoors. Swimming, boating, and fishing were among his favorite things to do, although we could never eat the fish. Nick also enjoyed custom cars, motorcycles, flying RC planes, and going to the gym. I learned early in Nick’s adulthood that I would need to be smarter than Nick, or at least appear so, because I was clearly outgunned.

It's funny as I write this, I realize that although Nick was not perfect (who is?) he truly loved life and what better way to define success.
