Nathan Mercer

Derby - Mercer, Nathan, 22, passed away Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018. He marched to the beat of his own drum, and was a dreamer with a huge heart. Nathan often talked about being a writer, he enjoyed playing D&D, anime, and debating about practically anything. He was huge gun rights activist, and was passionate about guns. He loved his brother and sister very much. Nathan will be greatly missed. A Gathering Celebrating Nathan's Life will be held from 12 pm - 2 pm Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. He is preceded in death by his step grandfather, Mel Cook. Nathan is survived by his mother, Crystal (Cody) Chitwood; father, Andrew Mercer; sister, Sara Mercer; brother, Colin Chitwood; grandparents, John Stage, Sandra Cook, Dean Mercer, Becky Dent and Steve and Jan Chitwood; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
