Naomi Demoss

Naomi DeMoss, 88, of Wichita, KS, died peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2021, at Peace Of Mind Homes in Wichita, KS. Born December 13, 1932, in Hooker, OK, she is predeceased by her parents, Maud and Ally Sledge of Ponca City, OK; her husband of 58 years, Roy; and her granddaughter, Carey. Soon after marrying in Ponca City in 1950, Naomi and Roy moved toWichita and then Topeka, KS, before moving back to Ponca City in 1997 and then to Allen, TX, for a short time before Roy’s death. Naomi then moved to Rose Hill, KS, in 2008 where she has resided near her younger son, Rick and daughter-in law Meggin.

Naomi worked as a key punch operator early in her marriage, and then devoted full time to homemaking and raising her two sons.

She is survived by her son, Ron, and his wife, Lynne, and Rick and his wife, Meggin, as well as grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley and Ben, and great grandchildren, Jax and Ruby Jean.

A private memorial service was held for Naomi’s close family. The family is grateful to those who have been Naomi’s friends and loved ones throughout her life as they know she was.
