Nancy Phyllis Burns

Nancy Phyllis Burns, 84, graduated to Heaven on Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was born June 13, 1931 in Uncas, OK, the daughter of Ray and Margaret (McClung) Yarbrough. She graduated from Seminole High School, Seminole OK in 1949 and received a Business degree from the University of Tulsa in 1953. Nancy worked for National Shared Data where she retired and then went to work for OETA Channel 13. She married Vern LeRoy Burns on Dec. 13, 1952 in Tulsa, OK. He preceded her in death in 1996. Also preceding her were her parents and brother, Willis Ray Yarbrough. Survivors include her children, Dennis R. Burns (Peggy), Derby, KS, Candy M. Burns, Clearwater, KS, 2 grandchildren, Lydia and Paige Burns. Memorial service will be 2 PM, Thursday, Feb. 4th at First Christian Church, Clearwater, KS.
