Myrtle Evans Sparling, 96, retired aircraft cable installer, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014. Survivors include her sons, James Evans (Judy) of Nathrop, CO, Marlin Evans of Belle Plaine, Carey Evans (Susan) of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lavita Williams of Newton. She is preceded in death by husbands Merle Evans and Leonard Sparling and one grandson. Viewing: 2-8pm today, Friday, July 11, with funeral service: at 9am, Saturday, July 12, 2014, both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. A memorial is established with Gentiva Hospice.
