Myra Jean Thomas

Myra Jean Thomas, 93 of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away Friday, April 7, 2023. Myra was born on December 23, 1929, in Parsons, Kansas to Clifford and Inez Searles.

Myra moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1967 where she received her bachelor’s degree in education with the Haysville School System and taught until her retirement. After a fulfilling career in teaching, she then moved to Fort Walton Beach Florida in 2007 and has been a resident ever since.

Myra is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nelson Thomas, two sons, Charles Landreth Thomas and David Nelson Thomas.

Myra is survived by her two sons, Bruce Edward Thomas and William Paul Thomas and her daughter, Myra Jo Thomas, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial graveside will be held on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 U.S. 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
