Mona Prim

HAYSVILLE – Prim, Mona, age 83, good wife and mother, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Visitation 1-8 PM Sunday, February 10th, with family receiving friends 6-8 PM, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 AM Monday, February 11th, Derby Church of Christ. Mona was born June 17, 1929 at Washington, OK, to Lester & Lola Carr. Mona loved little children. When shopping she would stop and talk to them and got their smile before it ended. She did substitute teaching at Haysville Grade School and later was Library Clerk, retiring in 1991. She loved to travel, working in her flowers, reading and helping out at church. She taught lower grades Bible classes and Vacation Bible School. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, James. Survivors: husband, Quenton; daughters, Brenda (Richard) Gregory, Maumelle, AR, Janet (Tracy) Bishop, Houston, TX; brother, L.B. (Mary) Carr, Blanchard, OK; grandchildren, Taylor Bishop, Scottsdale, AZ, Monica Bishop, New York City, and Stormy (Dominic) Davis, Maumelle, AR; great-grandsons, Cole and Jake Davis. A memorial has been established with Carpenter Place.
