Molly Storey

Storey, Molly Lois (Warne), 81, was born March 11, 1940 to Ralph and Nellora (Mullenix) Warne and was the oldest of five children. She died Thursday, September 9, 2021. She grew up on the south side of Wichita, KS and graduated from West High school in 1958. Molly enjoyed working with the Mulvane Old Settlers Committee, organizing her high school class reunion, gardening, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She met William (Bill) Storey on a blind date in 1957. Molly and Bill married on February 1, 1959 at Bethany Methodist Church in Wichita, KS and were married for 62 years.

She is survived by her husband Bill; daughter, Marlene (Chip) Mangus; son, Mark (Susan) Storey; daughter, Melinda Storey; nephew, Michael (Elizabeth) Warne; granddaughter, Kimberly (Nathan) Chambers; grandsons, Kiel (Danielle) Mangus, Collin (Corissa) Mangus, Will Storey; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob (Joan) Warne, Rick (Julie) Warne; sister, Lora Kay Alexander; and many other family members.

Molly is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ron Warne.

Visitation will be held at Smith Mortuary on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5pm-8pm. Service will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10am, at Mulvane United Methodist Church, with a graveside service at Littleton Cemetery immediately following.
