Mildred Pickett

Mildred Pickett, age 99, passed away Sunday June 9, 2013. Visitation Thursday, June 13, from 1-8pm with family present 6-8 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Private memorial service and burial. Mildred was a long time member of the Rose Hill Friends Church, homemaker and 1930 Rose Hill graduate, along with her 11 children and two of her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lillie MacKay; husband, C.V. Pickett; daughter, Letha Gammon; 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. Mildred is survived by her children, Verla (Harold) Perry, Nelda Coleman, Lester Pickett, Laris (Mary L) Pickett, Ruth Herron, Warren (Jill) Pickett, Walter (Fatima) Pickett, Clark (Kathy) Pickett, Jewel Conner, Velma Pickett; 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
