Belle Plaine - McHenry, Michael John, 57, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017.

Visitation: Friday, October 13, 2017, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family to receive friends from 6-8, and Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 14, 2017, both at Smith Mortuary, Derby.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Lester and father-in-law, Gilbert Dassance.

Michael is survived by his wife, Cindy McHenry; children, Michelle Wellington (Nick) and Steven McHenry (Jodi Godsey); father, Joseph McHenry (Arliss Taylor); mother, Winifred Lester; two grandchildren, Reed and Oliver Wellington; three siblings, Teressa McHenry (John Holland), Eric McHenry (Kay), and Walt McHenry (Kathleen); mother-in-law, Carolyn Dassance; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
