Merle O. Herrick

Herrick, Merle O., 92, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015. He was born March 29, 1923 to Claude and Rosa (Sypher) Herrick in Iola, KS. Merle served in the Navy during WWII and Korea. He retired from Cessna after 35 years of service. Merle’s main priority in life was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Maxine Herrick. Merle is survived by his children, Ricky (Sharon) Herrick, Terry (Twyla) Herrick, and Tamara Williams; sister, Ivagene Mikesell; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Tuesday, from 5 to 8 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Funeral: 10 am, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery, 1208 N.
