Paula, 80, was born on May 4, 1943 to Paul and Nobia Duren in Zion, Arkansas. Paula married Roy Williams in 1963. Together they raised 2 tenacious boys Kevin & Phillip. Paula enjoyed reading on her kindle, crocheting, pretty flowers and visiting her family in Arkansas. Not many people know this but Paula was a huge Lynard Skynard fan.


Phillip, 55, was born February 23, 1969 to Roy & Paula Williams in Wichita, Kansas. Phillip better known as Flip enjoyed drag racing watching and quoting funny movies and spending time with family and many trips to visit other family in Arkansas. Phillip worked on transmissions for 37 years. Phillip owned his own business called Flip-O-Matic Racing Transmissions. He was a genius when it came to rebuilding transmissions.


Melissa, 52, was born December 15, 1971 to Floyd & Cathy Ryan in Newton, KS. Melissa worked as a nurse for 30 years and worked as a traveling hospice nurse aid and had a heart of gold and a special talent for taking care of others. Melissa enjoyed many hobbies including planting, scrapbooking & shopping. Melissa enjoyed spending time with her entire family at many events through the years.


Phillip & Melissa married on October 16, 1998. Together they raised three children; Ashley, Timothy & Kristopher.


They were preceded by Paula’s husband/Phillip’s father, Roy; Paula’s son/Phillip’s brother, Kevin; Melissa’s mother, Cathy Ryan.


They are survived by grandchildren/children, Ashley (Harley) Romeo, Timothy (Hannah) Ybarra, Kristopher (Amie) Ybarra; granddaughter/niece, Whitney Williams, grandson/nephew, Joshua (Amanda Cunningham) Williams; great-grandchildren /grandchildren, Chace, Morgan, Jessalynn, Hayleyann, Chloee, Kristopher, Blake, Kallie, Colton, Amara; Melissa’s brother, Rick Ryan.


Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 3, 2024, at First Pentecostal Church of Wichita, 1755 E. MacArthur Rd. Wichita, Kansas 67216. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
