Maxine Shain, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 9, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband J.R. Shain, sister Janice, brother V.C., granddaughter Lindsey. Survivors: children Larry Shain (Sheryl), Gary Shain (Charlotte), Mike Shain (Adelle), Debbie Branstetter, Steven Shain, Jasson Shain (Kirstin); 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. Viewing: noon-8pm Thursday with family present 6-8pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Service: 1pm Friday, June 15, 2012, Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church, 3233 N. Market
