Gibfried, Matthew Scott, 61, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Visitation: Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at St Mary Catholic Church, 2300 E Meadowlark Rd, Derby. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Derby
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gibfried and brother, Joseph Gibfried.
Matthew is survived by his son, Joe Gibfried (Casie); daughter, Alisha McQuillan (Ryan); three grandchildren, Sophia Gibfried, Hunter and Kinzey McQuillan; mother, Kathleen Gibfried; and four siblings Michael (Vickie) Gibfried, Timothy (Kris) Gibfried, Robert Gibfried, and Julia Houser (Paul).
