Matilda L. Puetz

Matilda L. Puetz, 105, Wichita, KS, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2016. She was born Dec. 28, 1910 in St. Marks, KS, the daughter of Joseph and Philemeno (Voegeli) Landwehr. She retired from St. Francis School of Nursing after 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Puetz, her parents, daughter Marcella Puetz, brothers; George, Frank, Fred, Leo, sister, Cecilia, daughter-in-law, Bobbie Sharon Puetz and great-grandchild, Joseph Wayne Higgins. Survivors include her son, Sylvester J. Puetz (Louise Nance), grandchildren; Cheryl Anne Higgins, Gary Wayne Puetz (Carol), great-grandchildren; Damon Puetz (Melissa), Shelby Logsdon (Tim), Travis Higgins, Brady Higgins, Caleb Higgins (Diana LaClair), great-great-grandchildren; Trinity, Olivia & Loralye Logsdon, Owen Puetz, Vanessa, Cassidy and Danyelle Higgins. Visitation will be from 2-5 PM Tuesday at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, Wichita, KS. Rosary will be 7 PM Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wichita. Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 132 S. Millwood Ave., Wichita, 67213.
