Mary Marie Ybarra

Mary Marie Ybarra, age 80, of Udall, retired manager, McConnell AFB Exchange, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016. Visitation 10 AM - 5 PM Wednesday, January 20, Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane. Recitation of the Rosary 7 PM Wednesday, Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, January 21, both at St. Michael Catholic Church, 545 E. Main, Mulvane. Graveside service 2 PM Thursday, Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, Winfield. Mary was born May 24, 1935 in Clonmel to Mike & Sarah Pineda. She married Jesse Ybarra, Sr., December 29, 1951 in Medford, OK. He survives. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry, Ira, Gabe and Bill; and a sister, Elma. Other survivors include her sons, Gerald Ybarra (Julie), of Wichita, and Jesse Ybarra, Jr. (Ann), of Wichita; brother, Melvin Heckert (Darlene), of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Dawn, Katy (Brice), Toni, Joel (Brandy), Adam (Elise), Alecia (Paul), and Carla (Howard); great-grandchildren, Trevon, Kelvin, Kaylan, Easton, Ensley, Daniel, Morgan, Ethan, Hallie, Ella, Amelia, Tony, Darren, Cameron, Camren, Destinee, Candyce, and Caila. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who faithfully and dutifully cared for the family while Jesse Sr. was away overseas serving his country.
