Schaefer, Mary Jo, 78, passed away Thursday, November 17th, 2022. She was born March 25th, 1944 to Othello and Mary Beadles in Evansville, Indiana. Preceded in death by her parents and first husband, James Barrett; Survivors include her husband, Ron; sons, James (Michelle) Barrett, Jr., Derrick (Tina) Barrett, Christopher (Jennifer) Barrett; grandchildren, Travis, Brittany and Brooklyn. Visitation with family is Monday, November 21, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and funeral service is 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67219.
