Mary Victoria Rico

MULVANE - Rico, Mary Victoria, age 87, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Recitation of the Rosary 7pm Friday, October 26; Funeral Mass 10am Saturday,October 27, both at St. Michael Catholic Church, 545 E. Main, Mulvane. Interment to follow at Mulvane Cemetery. Mary was born Dec. 27, 1924 to Jose and Patrocinio Gonzalez in Jalpa, Guanajuato, Mexico. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Connie Graves and Sara Coffey; brothers, Salvador and Pete Gonzalez. Mary and Tony Rico were married Nov. 15, 1947 in Derby. They were blessed with six children; sons, Ody, Richard and Tom Rico; daughters, Gloria Rico, Rita Crowe and Chris Rogers; 28 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; brothers, Ray, Tony, Robert, Danny and David Gonzalez; sisters, Mickie Cotton, Juanita Godwin, Eloise Fowler and Rachel Rodriguez. There will be no viewing, she wished her family and friends to remember her as they knew her in life. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the church.
