Mary Nell Oringderff passed away August 14, 2016. She was born in Sublette, KS on July 2, 1927 to HF "Frank" and Mary Walters. Mary Nell attended school in Sublette graduating in 1945. In 1947, she and Robert "Bob" Oringderff were married in Wichita, KS, but later moved to Sublette where they raised two children, a daughter Jan and son Dick. Mary Nell worked for many years at the Haskell County Bank and was a homemaker for her family. After retirement, she and Bob spent many winters as "snow birds" in Mesa, AZ. In 2008, Mary Nell and Bob moved to Wichita, KS to be close to family. Mary Nell was baptized in Jesus Christ and was a life-long member of Sublette Christian Church where she was involved with teaching both Sunday School and VBS. She sang in the choir and served as church treasurer for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob"; parents; three sisters, Mildred Walters, Marjorie Bailey, Hazel Marie Woodward. Survivors: daughter, Janice "Jan" Vincent (Darrell) of Wichita; son, Dick (Mary Jo) Oringderff of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Jeffery Vincent (Denyne) of AZ, Bradley Vincent (Ami) of WY, Anne Powers (Jeromy) of CT, Ross Oringderff of CA; great-grandchildren, Evan, Brooklyn and Jackson Vincent, Ella and Aubrey Powers; two brothers, Robert and Elbert (Helen) Walters; 5 nieces; 12 nephews. Celebration of Life Service: 2pm, Thursday, August 18, 2016, Presbyterian Manor, 4700 W. 13th. A memorial is established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Mary Nell will be interred in Haskell County Cemetery.
