Mary Edith Darland, age 94, passed away March 7, 2015. Memorial service will be held 10 A.M. Friday, May 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, 612 North Linden Street, Belle Plaine, KS 67013. She is preceded by parents, John and Mary Smith; husband, Ralph; sons, Dick and Bob Darland; sisters, Ethel Fern, Betty Phylana; brother, Howard Smith. Edith is survived by her granddaughters, Fara (Jon) Fountain, Lisa (Doug) Demaree, Tisha Darland (Glen Pearl), Debie (Joe) Batterson, Diana Darland, Dana Darland, Kris (Steve) Gruda; Daughter-in-law, Rosalie (Dan) Hatfield; 15 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Villa Maria Inc., 116 S Central Ave, Mulvane, KS 67110.
