Mary Ann Benn

Mary Ann (Nunley, Beamon) Benn died on February 7, 2017 at the age of 82. Mary Ann was born on August 10, 1934 in Enid, Oklahoma to Mary and Marvin Nunley. She graduated from Waukomis High School in 1952, after lettering four years in basketball. She lived in Mississippi, Virginia, Oklahoma, Alabama and Kansas. She worked as an accountant and retired from Boeing in 1997. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, bowling, dancing and her family. Her daughter Katherine Beamon, her son Christopher Benn, her brother Sedric Nunley and her parents precede her in death. Mary Ann is survived by two of her children: son, Van Beamon of Andover, KS and daughter, Fran Copley of Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren: Janessa (Steve) Bixel of Box Elder, South Dakota; Tracey Cheuvront of Kansas City, Kansas; Royal Cheuvront of Kansas City, Kansas; Sierra (Corey) Carbonell of Kansas City, Kansas; and Ashley Beamon of Andover, Kansas; five great-grandchildren: Kobie Mallatt of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Jakob Mallatt of Goddard, Kansas; Alexa Bixel of Box Elder, South Dakota, Layla Carbonell and Charlie Carbonell of Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial Services will be held on Monday February 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home, Belle Plaine, with graveside services immediately following at Belle Plaine Cemetery.
