Marvin L. "Skeet" Starkey

Marvin L. "Skeet" Starkey, 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. He was born March 11, 1956 to Marvin and Priscilla Starkey in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was a dad and papa to a few other kids besides his own. He loved life; loved to cruise, was a 4th dan black belt, and was a big supporter of helping people with diabetes. He will be missed.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cynthia Schoeck. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Tammy; children, Jean (Andrew) Koontz, Christopher (Jennifer) Starkey; grandchildren, Sage, Andi, Audrey, CJ and Stella.

Graveside service is 12:30 pm, Friday, May 22 at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery, 900 E National Ave, Fort Scott, KS 66701. There will also be a celebration of life at a later time in Wichita.

His charity was American Diabetes and Central Community church.
