75, passed away Saturday, October 20th, 2018. He was born July 21st, 1943 to Edward Schmidt and Velda Calder Schmidt in Carnegie, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Edward and Velda Schmidt, sister, Myrna Wright; nephews, David Schmidt, Ronald Edward Schmidt, Thomas Edward Ford; brothers-in-law; Max Wright and Tommy Thompson.

Marvin is survived by his Wife of 52 years, Sharon; sons, Mark Schmidt, of New York, NY, Kyle Schmidt, and wife Sarah of Wichita; granchildren, Bryson, Bentley, Hunter and Abby; siblings, Ronald Schmidt, Donna Waller and husband, Gary, Trenda Thompson; brother-in-law, Greg Coats and wife, Donna; numerous nieces, nephews, friends; and faithful companion, Teddy.

Visitation: will be Tuesday, October 23 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas. Funeral Service: 10 am, Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at Woodlawn United Methodist 431 S Woodlawn Blvd Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Derby.
