73, passed away Saturday, December 28th, 2024. He was born June 20th, 1951 to Vernon Queen and Imogene Lafferty Queen in Wichita, Kansas.
Marvin worked as a construction worker in his early years. He moved to Belle Plaine and became a school bus driver, then worked his way to transportation director of USD 357. He was the caretaker at the Belle Plaine Cemetery. He was the Belle Plaine fire chief, EMS director and worked for emergency preparedness of Sumner County. In his spare time, he enjoyed storm chasing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Josephine Queen; siblings, Tommy Queen, Danny Queen, Dale Queen, Cynthia Kylts; granddaughter, Amber Randolph
Marvin is survived by his children, Lisa Marie Brenon, Theresa Shapley, Michelle (Jay) Randolph, Angela (Michael) Moore, Marvin Queen Jr, Sarah (Robert) Downey, Charles (Karissa Ceynar) Queen; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Vernadine Louive, Sally Sheffield
Memorial Service: 10:00 am, Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 at Herritage Evangelical Free Church 113 N. Church St Udall, Kansas 67146.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to usd 357 Belle Plaine School.
