Marvin Perry “Mac” McCarty, age 91, of Derby, retired Superintendent, FW Woolworth Company, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. Memorial service 2 PM Saturday, Pleasantview Baptist Church, 1335 N. Buckner Ave. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Brown & Mayme McCarty; sisters, Luzelle Poer and Sue Vaughn. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Olivia; sons, Chet (Lynnete), New Richmond, WI, Larry (Shelly), San Francisco, CA; daughters, Sue Ferrell, Augusta, GA, Linda Pulliam, Mulvane; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
