Haysville – Burnett, Martha Jeanette (Hawkins) “Marty,” 84, retired Wesley Medical Center RN, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, surrounded by family. Visitation 1-8pm (family present 6:30-8) Monday at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Funeral service 10 am Tuesday, at Haysville United Methodist Church, 601 E. Grand Ave., Haysville. Preceded in death by her parents, Earl W. and Murlee Hawkins; husband, William S. Burnett; and brother Richard Hawkins. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Terry) Burnett, Derby; and Sam (Sue) Burnett, League City, TX; grandchildren, Ashle (Jamie) Stratton, Wichita; Kristin (Jim) Adams, League City, TX; Josh (Abrian) Burnett, Lawrence, KS; Kelly (Juilie) Burnett, Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Alexis Burnett, Tripp Stratton and Trinity Stratton. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established with the church, Kansas Dialysis Association, 1035 N. Emporia Ste. 105, Wichita, KS 67214, and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
