Mark Daniel Wadas

Wadas, Mark Daniel, 24, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS. He was born September 2, 1990 in Wichita, KS. Mark graduated from Derby High School in 2009 and was a current student at Wichita State University. Mark was an avid sports fan, in particular the Chicago Bears, Kansas Jayhawks and Wichita State Shockers. He enjoyed social media and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed fishing, playing card games and going to the casino. Mark is survived by his parents, Michael and Denise Wadas, of Derby, KS, brother Ryan Wadas (Megan), of Tampa, FL, sister Jennifer Wadas, of Bel Aire, KS. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Bernice Wadas, of Madison, WI; and his maternal grandfather William Bloomberg, of West Burlington, IA. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Mark is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Granny Pat. We would like to give special thanks to all of the healthcare professionals at Via Christi St. Francis and St. Joseph. Funeral arrangements are handled by Smith Family Mortuaries in Derby, KS. There will be visitation on Thursday, July 9 beginning at 1:00pm with family in attendance at 5:00pm and a rosary to follow at 7:00pm. The funeral will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 10 at All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to The Spina Bifida Association of Kansas or All Saints Catholic Church.
