Wichita: Mark Allen Leake 54, went home to be with Jesus January 26, 2021. He was born to Teddy (deceased) and Helen Leake of Wichita on October 16, 1966 in Wichita, Kansas
Mark was rooted in Faith and had a deep love for his family and friends. Mark worked for Starkey Development Center and lived independently for over 30 years. Mark loved to travel. He loved family reunions in Texas with all of his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Mark was a bright star to anyone who knew him. He did not know a stranger. His love for his Nieces and Nephews shown through the sparkle in his eyes when he saw them or talked about them. Mark was an active participant in the Special Olympics where he enjoyed years of basketball and bowling. While Mark would not be swayed from his love for the Dallas Cowboys the rival between him and his Nephews grew over the years because of their love for the Chiefs. In fact, it was quite entertaining to watch and listen to them.
Mark was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Viola Wylie, Brudeno and Ruth Leake and his Father Teddy G. Leake Sr.
Mark leaves behind his Mother, Helen Leake of Haysville, brother Teddy (Serita) Reidsville, NC, sister Kristine (Brian) Wichita. Nieces and Nephews: Colby Hill, Reidsville, NC, Pam (Kevin), Ft. Collins, CO, Zachary, Wichita, Morgan (Ruben), Colorado Springs, CO, Trevor (Katie), Augusta and Noah, Wichita. His many aunts and uncles and 18 cousins will forever be touched by his love. Nobody will ever give a hug as good as him
Visitation for Mark Allen Leake is scheduled from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS. 67060. Funeral Service will be 1 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Smith Mortuary in Haysville. Memorial contributions may be made to Starkey Foundation, 4500 W Maple, Wichita, KS 67209.
