DERBY – Sumner, Marion Robert, age 87, retired Boeing Company employee, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Tuesday with family greeting friends 5-7 PM, memorial service 10 AM Thursday, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Derby. Marion is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Barbara Sumner; brothers, Gerald and John; and a sister, May Brisbin. Survivors: wife, Jean; daughters, Janis (David) Markel, Clearwater, and Sue (Michael) Ullenius, Wichita; stepdaughters, Kim Young, Wichita, and Michele (Ignacio) Castro, Canajoharie, NY; grandchildren, Stacey, Megan, Allison, Brooke, Heather, Emily, Lacey and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Lili, Conner and Dez.
