92, passed away Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024. She was born October 9th, 1932 to Theadore Juengling and Sadie Browning in Emporia, Kansas.


Margaret and Byron made their home in Derby, Kansas, in 1955, as one of the first families on their block. They cherished their retirement years as Snowbirds in Texas, traveling across the United States and fulfilling their lifelong dream of exploration. Their passion for travel became a gift they passed down to their family, inspiring wanderlust through countless stories of their adventures.


Margaret remained in their cherished family home until December 2023, when she transitioned to senior living. She filled her days with family, community service, her faith and work at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and adventures with her close-knit group of friends, affectionately known as "The Fruitcakes."


Margaret will be remembered as the gentle rock of the Kinkead family, a source of strength, kindness, and love. Those who knew her, or were touched by her warmth and grace, strive to honor her spirit in their own lives.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Byron Kinkead


Margaret is survived by her children, Susan (Roger) Griffin, Kirk (Lisa) Kinkead, Dee Ann McCullough; grandchildren, Tonya Devena, Stevie Lacy, Kelly Kinkead, Kasey Kinkead, Angie Kinkead, Hunter McCullough, Chace McCullough, Rumin Tehrani; great-grandchildren, Dayne, Kolsee, Aspinn, Knoxx, Tripp, Connor, Rian, Tyler, Ender, Jude, Ewan, Chance, Baylee, Jacek; great-great grandchild, Peyton, Khloe, Cleo, Kyler, Tessa, Ezra, Kitana, Nova, Elias, Jade, Malcolm, Kaison


Memorial Service: Friday, January 17th, 2025 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 1062 E. Chet Smith Ave Derby, Kansas 67037, followed by a lunch at the church. After lunch, friends and family are invited to attend her interment alongside Byron at Winfield National Cemetery, 1208 N. College St. Winfield, Kansas 67156 at 2:00 P.M.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
