Marcia Wilkey

Marcia Wilkey, 76, of Hollister, MO, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, August 11, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Steven Wilkey, of Hollister, MO; daughter, Cheri Adams of Derby, KS; son, Shawn Lamberson of Wichita, KS; step-daughter, Ashley (Paul) Gorges of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Derek Adams and Zack Adams, both of Derby, KS, Torman (The Cody) Danger, Cevin Montgomery, Evangeline Gorges, Kaden Gorges, and Autumn Montgomery; sister, Candy (Thomas) Benjamin, all of Wichita, KS; brother-in-law, David (Julie) Wilkey; and mother-in-law, Rosale Ivy both of Haysville, KS; and many nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Hamilton; stepmother, Erma Hamilton; and mother, Jane Barnette. Marcia was a 1964 graduate of Wichita West High School, and a long-term employee of Southwest Grease and Oil and Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, KS. A patron of the Sedgwick County Zoo, one of Marcia's favorite activities was visiting the zoo, enjoying all of the exhibits, and primarily feeding the giraffes! Instead of sending flowers, we kindly request family and friends to donate to the Sedgwick County Zoo . A Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday August 27, 2022 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037.
