Marcia June Standerfer

Marcia June (Lee) Standerfer, 83, of Mulvane, Kansas, passed away August 2, 2014. She was born June 15, 1931 near Hennessey, Oklahoma to William Leonard and Irene Freeda (Maddox) Lee. Marcia graduated from Oxford High School in 1950. In 1967, she began working for the Mulvane School District, later becoming Food Service Director before retiring in 1994. During her retirement, she volunteered at Mulvane Care and Share. Marcia was a wonderful cook, friend, mother, sister, and grandmother. Her parents; brother, Duane and his wife Grace Lee; several nieces and nephews precede her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Terri McLaughlin (Jim) of Houston, TX, Sheri Moldenhauer (Jeff) of Mulvane, Denise Standerfer of Mulvane; sisters, Marillyn King (Rex) of Houston, TX, Lou Ellen Bliss (Albert) of Canton, TX, Freeda Steyer (Glen) of Salina; grandson, Kevin McLaughlin; many nieces and nephews. Viewing: 2-8pm Tuesday with family greeting friends from 5-7pm. Funeral service: 10am Wednesday, August 6, 2014, all at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery. Memorials are established with Mulvane Care and Share and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
