Madaline Mardell Shurley, age 89, of Wichita, passed away Monday, July 3rd, 2017. Visitation 1-8 pm Wednesday, July 5, with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, funeral service 2 pm Thursday, July 6, both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Graveside service, 1:30 pm Friday, July 7th, 2017 at Ft. Scott National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, KS. Madaline is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Debbie Richwine; son, Kenneth Lane Shurley; and a sister, Jackie Merritt. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Gene; sons, Keith and Tim (Debra), all of Wichita, and Jeff (Crystal), of Valley Center; daughters, Sherelynn McLaury, of Melbourne, FL, and Mary Beth Sebastian (Bill), of Wichita; sister, Wilma Easter, of Pittsburg, KS; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
