M. Helen Andrews

Andrews, M. Helen West, 96, Gold Star Mother, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 3, 2015. Helen was born August 1, 1918 in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert and Mamie (Mason) Kinkaid. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 34 years, John W. West and husband of 34 years George Andrews; son, John M. West; daughter, Connie J. Wayman; siblings, Robert, Clement, Donnie, Mary Ellen Barber and Tommy Dean; son-in law, Jack Stine of Grove, OK; and grandson, Daniel Stine. Helen is survived by daughters, Pat (Jim) Withers of Peoria, IL, Jackie Stine of Grove, OK; son-in law, George Wayman of Derby; and step-daughter, Linda Sue (Rocky)Vannoy, of Grove, OK; sister-in-law Donna Kinkaid of Valley Center; 12 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren;5 great-great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; Ronald Ray and all of the men and women of American Legion Post 408. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am, April 4, 2015, Smith Mortuary, Derby, Kansas. Helen and her family are very patriotic and invite you to wear her favorite color, red.
