Lucille Catherine Munroe

Derby - Munroe, Lucille C., age 80, was born June 16, 1931 in Manchester, New Hampshire to Starr Stuart and Sarah (Mulroy) Scully. She passed away December 11, 2011. Lucille moved to Kansas in 1951 after her marriage to John J. Munroe. They stayed in the Wichita area until 1962 when they moved to Midwest City, OK, where they remained until John J.’s passing in March of 2000. They were married 49 years. Lucille moved back to Derby in 2001, where she resided until her passing except for a two-year span she spent in Houston, TX. She is survived by her children, John Munroe and wife Sue of Houston, Debbie Saunders of Bixby, Oklahoma and Kathleen Munroe of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Amy Munroe Parker and John Munroe of Houston, Ashley and Allyson Saunders of Tulsa and Patrick Munroe McAffrey of Portland, Oregon. Visitation 1-8pm with Rosary at 7pm, Wednesday, December 14, at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, KS. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday, December 15, at the St. Mary Parish, 2300 E. Meadowlark Derby, KS. Burial will be at the Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, KS. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church.
