March, Louis S., was born July 26, 1921, on the farm where he grew up in Butler County. He died December 31, 2010. He was the son of Samuel B. and Josephine (Gillum) March. His siblings Mary Bates, Clarice Stanberry, and Brinten March all preceded him in death. He served in the Navy during WWII as an Aviation Mechanic on PBY Flying Boats. He retired from Beech Aircraft in 1986 as a Liaison Engineer after 37 years in aircraft. He continued with his part time farming operation for another 10 years. Louis is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dulcia March of Douglass; daughter Dana Jeanae (Galen) Brown of Wichita; sons Louis J. (Nina) March of Douglass, and Hal March of Arkansas City; along with 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Rose Hill Friends Church in Rose Hill, KS with graveside services following at Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the National Parkinson Foundation.
