Loretto Adams

December 8, 1934 — June 29, 2022

Derby/Burlington - Adams, Loretto Josephine 87, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was born December 8,1934 to Wayne Cowell and Lillian Johnson in Dodge City, Kansas.

Loretto met and married Bill, the love of her life, on September 4, 1954. A dedicated wife and mother, Loretto raised five children while Bill was serving in the U.S. Navy. Those that knew Loretto, knew that her faith and her family were the most important things to her. Loretto insisted on having her whole family together as much as possible. Because of Loretto's insistence on frequent family get-togethers, her tight knit family is left with a lifetime of amazing memories and love. Loretto was always very present in all of her loved one's lives; from watching while her kids and grandkids opened Christmas presents to providing unwavering love and support in life's toughest moments, Loretto was always there. Loretto was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whom we affectionately called G.G. She loved watching all of their achievements and was always amused by the various talents her grandkids learned over the course of their lives, like showcasing their artistic abilities through purple stars. Loretto loved reading, singing in her church choir, doing puzzles, and eating popcorn on Sunday nights for dinner. Although her family will miss her and her warm hugs greatly, they are comforted that Loretto is finally reunited with her beloved husband and enjoying everlasting life in Heaven. Loretto loved pastel colors, specifically pastel blue and pink, so in honor of celebrating Loretto's amazing life, please wear pastel or bright colors to her services.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William E. Adams, sister Mabel Lombrano, and parents Wayne Cowell, Lillian and Andrew Johnson.

Loretto is survived by her children Joann Burns, Bill(Michelle) Adams, Mary Adams, Margaret(Ron) Combes, Pete(Melanie) Adams, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. All of whom adore her.
