Loretta Cox

Loretta Cox, 83, retired City of Wichita office manager and “The Lady of Racing”, passed away September 22, 2013. She is known by many as a keeper of stories and history of dirt track racing for CJ Stadium and 81 Speedway. Visitation 1-8pm Tuesday, September 24, 2013, with family present 6-8pm, funeral service 10am Wednesday, September 25, 2013; both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Bell and Hazel Eilerts; husband, J.D. Cox; 5 siblings. She is survived by her children, Jay (Jacquline) Cox, Larry (Katherine) Cox, Gary Cox, Terry (Nancy) Cox and Jana (Jay) Wettig; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
