Harrison, Lorene, 95, loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loyal friend, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. She was born February 7, 1919 to William and Ida Mae (Vogt) Lampert in Industry, KS.
Lorene was a longtime and dedicated member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She cared dearly for her family and was a talented cake baker and seamstress. Lorene loved camping, fishing, and gardening and was an avid Wichita State University Basketball fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin H. Harrison; and siblings, Charles Sager, Beulah Bouligny, Geneva Woosley, Lawrence “Pee Wee” Sager, Joan Stiles, and Marie Oborny.
Lorene is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Loren) Johnson and Debra (Marvin) Hamlin; grandchildren, Jeff (Jan) Johnson, Todd (Jaime) Johnson, Jennifer Clifton, Scott (Amy) Kleinschmidt, Misty (Chris) Brussow, and Shane Kleinschmidt; siblings, Helen Fulton, Mary Ellen Dix, Donna Jean (Ken) Schmedeman, and Joe “Bud” Sager; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing: Tuesday, 1 to 8 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Funeral: 10 am, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1601 S. Main St., Wichita, KS 67213. Interment to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Herington, KS.
