Linford H. Taylor

October 20, 1930 — January 26, 2024

Taylor, Linford H., 93, passed away Friday, January 26th, 2024. He was born October 20th, 1930 to Floyd and Zada Taylor, in Noble County, Oklahoma. He married Frances Rollins, on December 23, 1950. After Frances passed away on April 21, 1999, he married Jo Ann Travis, on March 31, 2001, she passed away March 3, 2018.


Linford was in the Army during the Korean War and served his country in Korea. He returned to the Wichita area and worked at Boeing for 38 years as a tool and die finisher. He and Frances moved to Derby in 1955, and raised three children there.


Preceded in death by his parents and Frances and Jo Ann. Survivors include his children, Debbie (Robert) Riggs, Gerry (DiAnna) Taylor, Terry (Marla) Taylor; grandchildren, Nate (Jill) Riggs, Jenny (Chris) Flood, Tiffany (Ryan) Gaffney, Justin (Stacia) Taylor, Laura (Cory) Welter, Jason Taylor; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Christian, Brooks, Lydia, Austin, Owen and Savannah.


Visitation is 5:00-8:00 p,m, Friday February 9, 2024, with family present from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith Family Mortuaries, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, KS and funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at South Rock Christian Church, 900 S. Rock Road, Derby, KS 67037.
