Linda K. Hamilton

67, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018. She was born December 6, 1950 in Caney, Kansas. She graduated from Wayside School in 1968. Linda worked various jobs before retiring from Wal-Mart after 22 years. She was well liked by her associates . She was compassionate and respected. Several considered her as more than a manager. Her heart was full and she helped them go through grief and healing with their own losses.

She volunteered as a Family Services Coordinator while at Homestead Air Force Base, and was recognized for outstanding accomplishments. She loved cooking, her family, her animals, and reading.

Linda loved her Kansas City Royals and became a fan of the Wichita State University Shockers because of her daughter.

Visitation: Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the family to greet friends from 5-7 and Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Friday, November 16, 2018, both at Smith Mortuary, Derby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Loretta Jones; and brother, Tom Jones.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Hamilton; children, Alycia, Willis, and JD Hamilton (Mindy); two grandchildren, Payton and Tenley Hamilton; siblings, Lloyd Jones (Donna), Fred Jones (Teresa), Mary Sturm, Margaret Morrison; sister-in-law, Brenda Jones; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family was her everything and she was their everything. She'll be forever cherished and missed.
