Lily Jean Hurd

Lily Jean Hurd, age 87, retired Mulvane School District cook and lunch room aide, passed in peace, Friday, December 9, 2016. Visitation: Monday, December 12, 2016 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm followed by a funeral at 1 pm, all at Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Lily was born August 31, 1929 in White City, KS to Henry and Bertha Laudemann. She married Russell Hurd on October 26, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Milton, Werner, Norman, Edna, Willie, Esther, Lila, and Doris; and great-grandson, Hudson Russell. Lily is survived by her children, Kent (Pam) Hurd and Kim (Eldon) Estes; sisters, Alice Peterson and Arlene Carlson, grandchildren, Lacie (Matt) Janzen, Christopher Hurd, Travis Nash, and Jennifer Hurd; and great-granddaughter, Calleigh Jean Janzen. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 503 SE Louis Dr., Mulvane, KS 67110.
