Lila Mae Dickson, 86, passed away May 18, 2016. Lila was born on November 18, 1929 in Riley County, KS to George Jacob Zeisset and Margaret (Crowl) Zeisset. Her family then moved to Leonardville, KS. She began working in Topeka, KS during the war years, providing domestic help and child care for a lawyer and judge during the summer months. After moving to Wichita, KS to complete her education, she began working for the YMCA, and later worked at the lunch counter at the downtown Woolworth's department store. There, she met James M. Dickson of El Dorado, KS and married. Lila retired in 1991 from Seneca IGA in Wichita. Though she held many work positions during her lifetime, she always said her primary career was raising her 10 children. Lila was preceded in death by her only sister, Marjorie Elizabeth Lark; nephew, Phillip Sheridan; and both parents. She is survived by her 10 children, Michael (Roberta) Dickson, Georgene (John) Head, Stephanie Gile, Joseph Dickson, all of Wichita, Kathleen (Lynn) Smith of Boise, ID, Kevin Dickson, Michelle Dickson, both of Wichita, Christina Stotler of Yakima, WA, Andrea Hamilton of Boise, ID, Delanie (Darrel) Young of Wichita; nieces, Karen Sheridan Shull and Shirley Ellen Roccia. She is also greatly missed by a few who called her their 2nd Mom, along with 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, who came into her life by birth, by marriage, by need, and ALWAYS, without fail, by love.

Visitation with family from 4-5pm Monday, May 30, at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 South Seneca, Wichita, with the Rosary time at 5pm, also at the mortuary. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 139 S. Millwood, Wichita. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in the Garden of the Lord's Prayer.
