Les Shipley

Shipley, Leslie “Les”, age 73, passed away Sunday, June 19th, 2011. Visitation today 1-8pm with family present 6-8pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Funeral service 2pm Wednesday, June 22 at Olivet Baptist Church, 3440 W. 13th St. N., Wichita. Les was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elma Shipley; daughter, Sherry Shipley-Brosius. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Shipley; children, Terrie Ewing, Glenn (Laurie) Shipley and Alan (Connie) Armer; grandchildren, Kendal (Sherry) Ewing, Jackie Shipley, Amanda (Dave) Killion, Nicole (Jim) Rice and Jeffrey Brosius; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Madison Ewing; brothers, Del (Joyce) Shipley and Charles (Brenda) Shipley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
