Leroy M. Belt

LeRoy M. “Lee” Belt, 83, passed away at home, Sunday, February 12, 2017. Funeral service 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 17, at West Haysville Baptist Church, 141 N. Lamar. Lee was a retired Master Sergeant in the US Army, serving for 21 years, and retiree of NCR after 25 years. He was a loving husband to Patricia “Pat” for 60 years, and devoted father to their four children. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen Lee Jopling and infant son Andrew. Survived by wife, Pat; sons Dean (Amy) Belt, James (Laura Coronado) Belt, Kevin (Rebecca) Belt; grandchildren Nathan Kramer, Jessica Jopling, Justin Belt, Katy Belt, Gina Belt, Andrew Belt, Dylan Mills, Toni Del Castillo, and Acci Mia Escamilla; great-grandchildren Caleb, Kaden, London, and Graham; brother Carol (Betty) Belt; and sister Marilou (Peter) Hendel. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with West Haysville Baptist Church; Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675; and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
