Mulvane - Leonard David Williams Jr. “Pa” was born November 10, 1933 in Centertown, Kentucky. He passed peacefully the morning of 12 July 2024 in the comfort of his home, with his wife Kimberly Kay by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard D. Williams, Sr. Doris Gwendolyn (Blackburn) Williams, and two sons Bradford and Jay Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Kay Williams, his sister Keta Temple, sons Leonard David Williams III and David Williams, daughters Darla Brewer, Holly Brizendine. His grandchildren are Jayson and Heather Williams, Leonard David Williams IV, Amber Sowell, Bridget Williams, Erika Neugebauer, Krystal Barry, Tony and Ricky Brewer and many great grandchildren.
He served 23 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant (1955-1977). His overseas assignments included Viet Nam, Okinawa and Guam and his last assignment was at McConnell AFB. He lived his retirement years in Mulvane, KS and served as a proud member to American Legion Post 136 for over 40 years. Most people know him as “Pa” or Dave to those close to him. He was beloved by his family and his community. Pa was a generous man and kind of spirit whose life motto was “Don’t Worry About Things You Can’t Control”. Dave “Pa” will be missed by many."
Visitation time will be 5-8pm Wednesday July 17, 2024 at Smith Family Mortuary 501 SE. Louis Blvd Mulvane Kansas 67110
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday July 18, 2024 also at Smith Family Mortuary . Burial will be held at Mulvane Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the American Legion Post 136 401 SE Louis Dr Mulvane, Kansas. 67110
