Leola Irene Kerr

Leola Irene “Lee” Kerr, age 82, affectionately known as Mom, Grandma, Grams, Gramcrakerr, and Mèmè, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Lee was a retired school cook and bus driver, and was very active in serving her church and community. Visitation 1-8 PM Saturday, June 9, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N Rock Rd., Derby. Rosary 7:30 PM Sunday, Funeral Mass 10 AM Monday June 11, 2012, both at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby. Burial will follow at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. Lee is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew G. Kerr; fiancé, Willie Willett; parents, Emile & Evelyn Tremblay; twin brother, Leo; brother, Leodore; son, Kelly Kerr; and a daughter, Brenda Ross. Survivors: sons, Bill Kerr, Merriam, DuWayne (Cynthia) Kerr, Rose Hill, Kenny (Ruthie) Kerr, Kingman, Gary (Kimberly) Kerr, Wichita, David (Connie) Kerr, Flower Mound, TX; daughter-in-law, Abbie Kerr, Derby; son-in-law, Steve Ross, Independence; sisters, Jane (Marvin) Pfannenstiel, Diane (Virgil) Leiker, all of Hays, Dorothy (Ivan) Barnett, Topeka; brothers, Jerome (Charlotte) Tremblay, Oregon, and Douglas (Jenny) Tremblay, Colorado; sister-in-law, Delores Tremblay; 32 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
