Len Eugene Rush, 51, of Wichita, KS passed away from an illness of cancer on April 8, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital. Len was born on July 31, 1959 to the late Norman Eugene Rush and Janet Marie (Harter) Rush of Bluffton, IN. He is survived by his mother, Janet M. Rush; sister, Lori A. House of Westfield, IN; brothers, Brian (Diane) Rush of Taylorville, IL, Brad Rush of Springfield, CO and Todd Rush of Pawnee, IL; nephews, Chris House of Carmel, IN, Brandon and Max Rush of Taylorville, IL and Wesley Rush of Morrisonville, IL; nieces, Jacia Rush Piper, Tanna and Tristan Rush of Springfield, CO; great-niece, Ava Lynn Jones House of Sheridan, IN. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Indiana area. He was a grandson of the late Owen and Katherine Rush of Bluffton, IN and late Howard and Leona Harter of Montpelier, IN. He graduated from Morrisonville High School in Morrisonville, IL in 1977. He loved to play basketball and baseball in his high school days. Len moved from Illinois to Liberal, KS in the early 1980’s. He worked for the Kansas West (Subway Development) for nearly 25 years. He has made thousands of friends over his lifetime. He had a real passion for playing softball. He was a big fan of baseball, golf, basketball and football. His favorite team was the OU Sooners. Visitation 1-8pm Sunday, April 10th; funeral service 10am Monday, April 11th, both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita. Additional services: Visitation 10-1pm Saturday, April 16th, funeral service 1pm Saturday, April 16th, both at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. State Road 124, Bluffton, IN.
