Leigh Ann Curtis

Derby - Leigh Ann Curtis, age 65, passed away Wednesday, March 27th, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, April 1st, at First Presbyterian Church, 324 N. Baltimore in Derby, KS.

Leigh Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Horney and Elrena (Marvel) Johnson; brother, Mark Horney; and uncle, Ron Horney. Leigh Ann is survived by her husband, Joel of Derby, KS; two children, Heather (Richard) Cupp of Woodward, OK, and Tyler (Melanie) Curtis of Emporia, KS; four grandchildren, Brennon & Bryant Cupp and Allison & Caroline Curtis; and loving extended family members.

Leigh Ann was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had many close friends throughout her life who were all considered part of the Curtis family. She enjoyed reading, music, movies, basketball, playing games, and serving the community via church missions and the hospital auxiliary. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Derby or the University of Kansas Hospital Center for Advanced Heart Care.
